The second edition of a biography of a young devout Guernsey-born Quaker Priscilla Quertier (1856-1870), who died aged just thirteen, compiled from her own journal extracts.
The book was first published in an edition of 600 copies, at her request, with the profits accrued from sale donated to the local poor. This second run (of an additional 600 copies) appeared later the same year.
Remarkably, given the print runs, very few copies have made their way into institutional collections. COPAC and OCLC locate copies at just three locations (BL, Leeds, and Society of Friends); OCLC adds two further (Harvard and Texas).
