Profusely illustrated throughout the text as well as full page spreads of 2-3 colour silhouettes including the title page. Full colour illustrated frontis 'Briar Rose' tipped in. Boards bright, with the dustwrapper worn to all edges, sunned and with minor losses.
Charles Seddon Evans (1883-1944) was an educator and later both Chairman and Managing Director of publishing house Heinemann. He wrote this adaptation of Sleeping Beauty (and one of Cinderella) in collaboration with Rackham as illustrator.
Arthur Rackham (1867 - 1939) was an English illustrator who remains widely recognised as one of the leading figures of the Golden Age of illustration.
