A catalogue of 'Golden Deeds', or heroic achievements, by Charlotte Mary Yonge (1823-1901), English novelist and promoter of the Oxford Movement. Given as a reward for conduct, the 'Golden Deeds' inside are fittingly described as 'something more than mere displays of fearlessness', requiring 'grave and resolute fulfilment of duty'.
