The statute laws of the Isle of Man, compiled by John Moore Jeffcott (1817-1892), Manx advocate and eventual High Bailiff of Castletown. Jeffcott would go on to play a significant part in the establishment of further Manx legislation, particularly in the reform movement which resulted in the settlement of 1866.
