A work discussing and promoting the virtues of religious education within the family by Legh Richmond (1772-1827), Church of England clergyman and writer. Largely told through a series of letters, the contents align with Richmond's 'evangelical' attitude towards child-rearing, whilst also serving as a memorial to his own deceased children, and a tribute to the sustaining power of God amongst grief.
