Edinburgh.
Printed [by A. Balfour] for Oliphant, Waugh & Innes, 1812.
Fourth edition.

52pp. Uncut and unopened. Stitched, as issued. Lightly creased and browned.
A rare survival, in original state, of an account by Minister William Innes (1770-1855) recording the final days of three convicted rioters awaiting execution.
The Gentlemen's Magazine (Vol. LXXXIII, 1813, p.555) received the work favourably: 'We wonder not at the popularity and quick sale of the Work. It constitutes, indeed, an interesting and very heart thrilling Narrative of a dreadful scene gradually irradiated with beams of hope, and faith, and gratitude, and joy. '
At least six editions appeared in 1812, all are scarce. COPAC records copies of the fourth at just two locations (Edinburgh and Oxford); OCLC adds no further.
