A new edition of Hugo Grotius' (1583-1645) De Veritate Religionis Christianae, an apologetic attempt at a common code of Christianity aimed at uniting Protestant and Catholic Churches that secured a great following in Protestant colleges until the nineteenth-century. This edition is supported with notes by Genevan Theologian Jean Le Clerc, also Johannes Clericus (1657-1736), known for his promotion of exegesis and series of Biblical commentaries.
