Elaborately bound in contemporary richly gilt-tooled red morocco, vellum onlays, A.E.G., housed in matching contemporary slipcase. Lightly rubbed, slipcase dulled and worn. Marbled endpapers, internally clean and crisp, single early note to interleaved blank.
A sumptuously bound late eighteenth-century issue of Goldsmith's almanac.

First published in 1663, Goldsmith's almanac ran, in a largely unaltered form, into the early nineteenth century; on occasion in luxury editions which seem to have been available directly from the publisher.
