An illustrated memoir of Ethel Clara Neave (1883-1967), known as Ethel Le Neve, who achieved international recognition as the mistress of the infamous Dr. Hawley Harvey Crippen, a homeopath executed for murdering his wife in 1910. The account within, accompanied by numerous sketches of the people, places, and court proceedings involved in the case, highlights Le Neve's bravery in the face of the cruelty, manipulation, and deceit of Dr. Crippen, and her overwhelming relief after her exoneration of all crimes.
