A late eighteenth century edition of Anglican clergyman and founder of Methodism John Wesley's (1703-1791) examination of common ailments, ranging from baldness to breast cancer, which proved one of the most popular medical works of the eighteenth-century. First published in 1747, some twenty-three editions followed in the author's lifetime, with various remedies and authorial preferences added in successive editions.
