Our Team

Tom Lintern-Mole – Founder and Managing Director

Tom founded Antiquates in 2007, whilst studying History at Oxford University, having worked in the book trade – and collected books – since his early teens. Tom is our early printing, literature and bibliography specialist, and deals with customer auction commissions and external valuations.

Still a keen collector, Tom is always interested in unusual books relating to Brasenose College and interesting copies of the works of John Stuart Mill.

He co-runs the Oxford Book Fair, is a long-standing Council member of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association (ABA), Fair Chairman of Firsts London (staged annually at the Saatchi Gallery) and Firsts-Online, the online fair platform. He has previously been a co-convenor of the ABA-IES book collecting seminars and Vice-Chairman of the Provincial Booksellers’ Fairs Association (PBFA).

Paris Wells – Shop Manager and Rare Book Cataloguer

Paris has been working for Antiquates Ltd since the 2011, having previously worked with Tom in the book trade since his teenage years. In addition to running our Wareham shop and co-ordinating the valuation of books brought through the door, Paris is a specialist cataloguer for nineteenth-century literature, military history, travel, and books by, for and about women and children, and has recently worked on a large collection (several catalogues worth!) of books with unusual Indian imprints.

Grace Barham – Modern Department

Grace has worked in and around the rare book trade since 2014, having previously studied Creative Writing at Bath Spa. Responsible for running our modern department, and with a particular interest in provenance, Grace has recently produced catalogues of parts of the libraries of Henry Williamson and Olwyn Hughes.

Grace collects printed (and manuscript) artefacts relating to British travellers in Europe, and works relating to the Thames and the Tower of London.

Evie Holloway – Rare Book Cataloguer

Evie has worked for Antiquates since 2023, after a short internship in our Wareham shop whilst completing her degree in English Literature at Oxford University. Her specialisms include English verse (with Shelley a particularly favourite), and drama. Evie has recently co-produced a catalogue of books from the library of Stopford Brooke and his family.

Trish Lintern-Mole – Shipping

Trish runs our shipping department, and has yet to be faced with a book or object that cannot be expertly and safely packed for shipment from our door to yours.

Sabran Lintern-Mole – Accounts and Logistics

A retired management accountant, Sabran makes sure that our accounts, HR and insurance needs are all met.
