Anne Grant (1755-1838) Glaswegian poet. Having been reduced to penury following the death of her husband in 1801, Grant resolved to alleviate her woes and improve her circumstances by preparing for publication a collection of verses for the benefit of her myriad host of friends and correspondents. Due to the efforts of admirers and literary contemporaries, including patroness of Robert Burns, Duchess Jane Gordon, no fewer than three thousand subscribers were found.£ 100.00 Antiquates Ref: 11594
