A handsome copy of English mathematician Charles Hutton's (1737-1823) logarithmic tables, first printed in 1785. The present copy belonged to Sir Thomas Bazley (1773- 1845), sometime cotton manufacturer, mathematician, and journalist; father of Victorian industrialist and politician Sir Thomas Bazley (1797-1885).
