The manuscript daybook of George Wardle, of whom little is known, recording the sale and purchase of goods predominantly for the final three months of 1769, though including later entires dated 1790/91. Wardle kept a stock primarily comprised of sugar, tobacco, claret, rum, velvet, and muslim, suggesting a living as a wholesale merchant.£ 325.00 Antiquates Ref: 13995
