Mason Hammond (1903-2002), classical scholar at Harvard University, spouse of Florence Pierson (1909-1999). Hammond, a dedicated antiquary and authority on Latin and the Roman Empire, published numerous historical monographs and served with the MFAA or 'Monuments Men' during The Second World War.
