A compilation of the satirical verse epistles of poet and playwright Nathaniel Thomas Haynes Bayly (1797-1839). First printed pseudonymously as 'Q in the Corner' in the Bath Herald, the poems were initially collected for publication in book form in 1817, marking the beginning of Bayly's successful career as a lyric poet - with critics later lauding him as the Anacreon of English romance.
