An anonymous pamphlet passionately defending the character and conduct of the Prince of Wales (the future George IV) from attacks levelled by jeweller, and sometime Member of Parliament for Coventry, Nathaniel Jefferys (1758?-1810) who blamed the Prince, once his primary customer, for both his political failure (he was unseated in 1803) and for the financial difficulties that would lead to him declaring bankruptcy in 1806.
