A early printing of the third instalment of Church of England Clergyman and founder of Methodism John Wesley's (1793-1791) Journal. The voluminous text, originally published in parts between 1739 and 1789, provides a record of a tireless traveller and observer of a wide range of people and manners, and, though unreliable as an objective historical source for his life, presents a passionate man dedicated to the education of his people.
