A 'souvenir', or 'anecdotal, biographical and critical monograph' of Sir Henry Irving (1838-1905), actor-manager of the West End's Lyceum Theatre, and the leading lady of his company, acclaimed Shakespearean actress Ellen Terry (1847-1928). Contains a full-page illustration of Irving as Corporal Gregory Brewster in 'A Story of Waterloo'; an illustration which first appeared in The Westminster Budget. Included alongside this is a full list of parts played by Irving at the Lyceum from 1871 to 1895.
