A handsomely bound set of the poetical works of clergyman George Crabbe's (1754-1832), including 'The Library', 'The Village', and his best known verse 'The Borough'; a long poem, presented in twenty-four verse letters, describing the workings of a fictional town, from it's religious sects to local elections and charitable institutions, culminating in an attack on the workhouse as an institution.
