The first edition of a German juvenile picture book, written, entirely in verse, by prolific children's author Johannes Trojan (1837-1915). The twelve poems each describe a different artisanal trade (baker, saddler, tailor etc.), and each is accompanied by a vibrant and evocative illustration by Paul Hey (1867-1952).
