A collection of twenty-eight issues of Thomas Walter Perry's (1780-1868) enduring bankruptcy and insolvency periodical. The paper, founded in London in 1826 'for the use of merchants, traders, and solicitors', provided a complete register of contemporary English, Scottish, and Irish bankrupts and insolvents, as wells as details of assignments, dividends, dissolution of partnerships. Initially issued monthly, the Gazette moved to weekly publication. The paper was published under several titles throughout its existence; Perry's Bankrupt and Insolvent Gazette (1828-61), Perry's Bankrupt Weekly Gazette (1862-81), and finally Perry's Gazette (1882-1964), after which time it was discontinued.

Institutional holdings of these decidedly ephemeral productions are unsurprisingly sparse copies of issues for 1849 are held by the BL and UoL; later issues are found at Senate House (1862-67)
