The first edition of writer and translator Richard Graves's (1715-1804) first published collection of poetry. In addition to those poems that had previously appeared in various journals and anthologies, the book includes two poetical essays, The Love of Order and The Progress of Gallantry, originally published in 1773 and 1774 respectively.
