Original publisher's carved wooden panels inlaid on gilt-tooled navy morocco, upper panel comprised of Christogram IHS within a border of ivy, lower panel comprised of a sprig of flowers within a lattice border, gauffered edges. A trifle rubbed, small chip to border of upper panel.
An unusual and tremendously ultra fine edition, in original publisher's carved wooden panelled binding, of Elizabeth Jocelin's (1596-1622) enduring religious instructions to her unborn child.
