A handsomely illustrated example of early advertising material for Castrol Oil, printed by oil company C. C. Wakefield. The company would rebrand as Castrol Limited in 1960 due to the enduring popularity of its star product.

This annual edition reports on the achievements made possible by Castrol Oil in the speed revolution of the 1930s, including motorcycles, motorcars, and aeroplanes, with the centrefold given over to Miss Jean Batten as she beats the Woman's Record for London - Australia in her D. H. Gipsy Moth.
