The sole edition - provincially printed by S. W. Walton of Todmorden, West Yorkshire - the only published work of local poet Thomas Greenwood, of whom little is known. The poems, largely doggerel, notably include 'The Indian's Lament', a nine-stanza elegy, published at the height of the Plains Wars, deploring the loss of American Native life at the hands of settlers:
