B[ULLOCK], J[ames] T[rower]. Miscellaneous poems.

London. Edward West, 1852. First edition.
8vo. viii, 128pp. Original publisher's green cloth, stamped in gilt and blind, A.E.G. A trifle rubbed, spine dulled. Recent bookplate of Robert J. Hayhurst to FEP, very occasional light spotting.
The first edition of collected poems by James Trower Bullock, divided into two sections - the former primarily concerned with Psalms, and the latter a selection of more personal verse recalling time spent with family and friends. Bullock notes in the preface that most pieces were 'preserved only for the amusement of the Author's children', although he hopes 'they may also afford some pleasure to others'.
