The first edition of a photographically illustrated 'labour of love' exploring the Scilly Isles by J. G. Uren, a former postmaster of Penzance. Endowed with a deep knowledge of the islands from his time running the district's mail network, the work is a mixture of scenes and recollections - Uren makes 'no claim to any literary ability', and goes on to ask 'the indulgence of my readers for my many faults and shortcomings'.
