The first edition of a rare Darton-printed illustrated account - printed on blue paper - of the chronology of the Kings (and Queens, albeit ignored by the title) of England, extending from the Norman Conquest of 1066 to the then reigning monarch William IV.

Designed for Juvenile use, whilst the main text of the chronology is composed in rhyming couplet, four lines to a page, beneath woodcut portraits of many monarchs, extensive biographical information of the English Royals referred to in the poetry is provided in minute prose surrounding the visages.

Rare; COPAC and OCLC together locate a single copy in the UK (BL), and just four further elsewhere (Indiana, Princeton, Toronto and UCLA).
