Attractively bound in contemporary richly gilt-tooled red morocco wallet style binding, fastened with metal clasp, contrasting black morocco lettering-piece lettered 'Amey's List', A.E.G., 'Dutch' floral endpapers, pockets to front and rear. Lightly rubbed, dulled, later repair to foot of flap at hinge, lower green silk hinge of front pocket split, hinges of rear pocket perished, very occasional pencilled notes to interleaves blanks.
A sumptuously bound mid-eighteenth-century almanac, combining the ever-popular Court and City Register, which had once been published by R. Amey and consequently was in some quarters still referred to as 'Amey's List', with Cardinus Rider's perennial British Merlin.

The State Library Victoria holds an edition of the Court and City Register for 1766 in a near identical binding, also lettered 'Amey's List.
