An illustrated edition of English art critic John Ruskin's (1819-1900) notes on the drawings of the late J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851), English Romantic painter. The plates within were produced using the 'new process of photogravure', or photographic engraving, to best reproduce the original artwork which accompanies Ruskin's commentary. The terminal map displays Turner's primary 'haunts', or drawing spots, across the United Kingdom, with a small key identifying his most important 'tours'.
