The first edition of minister of the Relief Church at Auchterarder George Jacque's (1804-1892) charming juvenile tale of the rise and progress of a trio of Scottish urchins. The book proved immensely popular, and circulated widely, with numerous foreign translations, including Danish and Icelandic.
