The sole edition of a short poem, originally found as part of a small cache of copies discovered at the Senhouse family home, Maryport, Cumbria, of which most were disseminated and sold to institutions. The printer has been determined to most likely be Ann Dunn of Whitehaven, previously documented by Isaac Woods and Barry Mckay to have been maintaining the family press after the death of her husband John Dunn and printing chapbooks in Cumbria at the turn of the nineteenth century. The presence of several other Cumbrian four-page poetical pamphlets in this distinctive style, of which one is signed by Dunn as printer, points towards her production of Chloe in Summer. Only one of those four pamphlets identifies an author, that being Sir Joseph Senhouse; given the uniformity of printing and production, however, reasonable suggestions have been made that he is also the author of the present verse.
