A presentation copy, in original cloth, of the first edition of a geographical study of Charles Dickens' iconic Pickwick Papers by Dickens enthusiast Walter Dexter, editor of The Dickensian, the Dickens Fellowship's triannual journal, from around 1925-1950. This copy was gifted by the author to fellow Dickensian and amateur writer A. E. Brookes Cross, who seems to have contributed several articles to the journal himself.
