The first edition in German, published simultaneously with the English issue, of a landmark scholarly work on the artistry of pioneering landscape gardener Humphry Repton (1752-1818) by Swiss art historian and curator André Rogger (1966-), who adapted his dissertation, on the importance of drawing to British landscape gardening in the nineteenth-century, into this volume. Rogger lectures today on art history at Lucerne's University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
